Welcome, I am artist Brittany Luciani. Practicing the art of automatic surrealist painting, my art is a disconnect from reality where I release myself from any conscious thought or idea thus allowing myself to find what is buried beneath the surface of my mind. Often revealing mysterious and dreamlike landscapes, these vast and barren terrains are meant to invoke a feeling of solitude between the viewer and the simplicity of setting. Working heavily in monochromatic colors, I tend to strip away the excess and focus on bold colors that represent the overall mood and emotion of the piece.
